Strategy for NICL Administrative Officer:Reasoning,English Language,General Awareness,Numerical ability,Computer Literacy and Previous Year Paper

All the prerequisite for the NICL exam are given here(CLICK ME). However there are some points that a candidate must keep in their mind

• Apart from objective test candidate will have to clear the subjective test also(which only going to be check if one is able to clear the cutoff).
•  There will be negative marks for wrong answer in objective test;1/4th of the allotted marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• In Specialist stream, an additional test to assess technical& professional knowledge in the relevant discipline. 

So How is the NICL Exam is going to be???????

Reasoning: 

More or less it is going to be of like the pattern followed in SSC  Tier(1) resoning which is  mainly consist of :

1. Analogy (both word based and numerical).
2. Odd pair (both word based and numerical).
3. Box containing some number, you’ve to find missing number.
4. Ranking, missing characters etc.
5. Typical coding decoding (PEAR written as GFDN then REAP is written as..).
6. Sitting arrangement (line, table and circular).
7. Blood relations (mom-dad-father in law).
8. Direction based (Mohan moves three kms north…how far he is from home).
9. Assumption, interference, conclusion etc.
10. Clock, calendar.
11. Age related problems (Mom is 22 older than..).
12. Cubes-dices: predicting color, numbers in other faces. 

English Language  

Since  Comprehension is going to be part of the Descriptive paper ,so one can expect more or less grammatical type of questions possibly consisting of:

1. Antonym/Synonym
2. Idioms
3. Spelling Correction
4. Fill In Blanks
5. Sentence Correction
6. Sentence Improvement
7. Sentence Arrangement/Jumble up sentences

General Awareness 

Being a insurance domain paper one can expect good number of questions relating to insurance sector while embracing oneself in past three to four months developments in various domains.

like:

1. Which authority act as Regulatory for Indian Insurance sector??
2. Which government scheme is act as source of contention between SEBI and IRDA?
3. Currently how much FDI is allowed in Insurance sector?
4.  Various measures adopted by RBI to curb Rupee volatility?

Test of Numerical Ability &Computer Literacy

For Computer Awareness one can rely on the basic questions asked in the various competitive exams like IBPS and SBI PO ,In my view they are more than sufficient for the exam point of view (will going to update same in separate thread )

3. Internet/Networking
4. Ms-Office
5. OS/Software Basics etc

  English language comprising of: Essay, Precis & Comprehension

As the name suggest aspirant will get one passage along with a Precis ,for essay one can emphasized upon  current social issues like on Women safety ,Gender Discrimination,Global warming,corruption etc

As this is the first time that NICL going to conduct exam for the the four public sector Insurance companies so its really difficult to predict the exact pattern of the exam,but based on the previous years papers and some stray knowledge collected from various sources available on the internet,I have tried to predict the pattern of the Exam,hopefully it will help the aspirants.
